Dr. Giubellino is a board-certified anatomic pathologist and dermatopathologist with a strong research background in tissue/cellular biology and translational research. His primary interest is in melanocytic lesions, including melanoma and Spitz tumors. He has made significant contributions to the development of cancer biomarkers, xenograft animal models of tumor progression, and novel therapeutic approaches for a variety of neoplasms.
As a physician-scientist, Dr. Giubellino’s research support includes a NIH/NCI P30-Supplement Grant and a Biomedical Research Award for Interdisciplinary New Science (BRAINS). He has also been awarded a Molecular Pathology Group Spatialomics award to continue his study of spatial transcriptomics and proteomics profiles of melanoma. His exceptional skills in research have the potential to revolutionize the field of pathology, particularly in the digital analysis of morphologic features of tumors in pathology tissue sections.
