Dr. Mariam Baqi, based in Sanad, Kingdom of Bahrain, stands as a notable figure in the field of dermatology, having garnered considerable recognition both regionally and internationally. An Arab board-certified dermatologist, Dr. Baqi possesses two distinguished fellowships in clinical dermatology and psoriasis, as well as surgical and cosmetic dermatology. Her journey began at the Salmaneya Medical Complex in Manama, where she undertook her dermatology residency from 2005 to 2014. Following this, her pursuit of expertise led her to the renowned Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC, where she engaged in a two-year intensive fellowship. Here, she delved deep into diverse dermatological areas, learning from world-class experts like Dr. Mark Lebowl, and even managed the cosmetic clinic’s arrangements.
In addition to her clinical experience, Dr. Baqi has significantly contributed to community health, placing a particular emphasis on skin health education. She has not only been an active volunteer in local health centers in Bahrain since her high school days but has also collaborated with esteemed institutions such as the American Academy of Dermatology. Her dedication to the dermatological field culminated with the inception of the Nadhara Skin Center in 2019, envisioned to be a leading skin center in the region.
