After studying medicine in Germany, finishing „magna cum laude”, he obtained his board certification in Dermatology in 2001. During this time, he did extensive clinical and experimental skin cancer research, that led to a Ph.D. in Melanoma Research.
Since 2004, Dr. Thomas has been practicing Dermatology in the UAE, first as Head of Dermatology at Tawam Hospital in Al Ain, and later in private practice in Abu Dhabi.
Dr. Thomas is Owner and Consultant Dermatologist at BSK Medical Center in Abu Dhabi, a new innovative and scientific based center for Skin Health and Aesthetic Dermatology. BSK is the teaching center for dermato-oncology for UAE National resident doctors.
Dr. Berger is a regular trainer for hands-on workshops in Aesthetic Dermatology in the UAE, Mena region, Europe and Asia.
He is Editor for the specialist publication “case reports in Dermatological Medicine” and has published and reviewed numerous scientific papers throughout his career.
