Prof. Dr Nezzar Hachemi MD, PhD, FEBO, is an oculoplastic ophthalmic surgeon & Strabismologist. Currently consultant at North American eye centre and at Dubai Hospital. Former Head of Ophthalmology Department in Dubai Hospital. He has a full French education; he completed his training program in Ophthalmology with a French and European Board of Ophthalmology. He completed two fellowship programs in pediatric-Stabismus and Oculoplastics Orbital surgery.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Nezzar Hachemi has an active interest in academia. He obtained a PhD in Neurosciences in the French research center (CNRS). He teaches Medicine and ophthalmology for several years in France as professor and in the UAE as Residency Program Director in Dubai. He published number of paper and book chapters in the field of ophthalmology as well as in Neurosciences. He is in the editor board of Dubai Medical Journal. Before moving to Dubai, Dr Nezzar was head of pediatric & Oculoplastic ophthalmology at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyad, Professor at Al Faisal University. Dr Nezzar is also CMO and partner of Ovision, several centres of excellence in ophthalmology in Lyon France.
